We have this human body which is the most sophisticated thing we know of in the universe but not all of us have the time to think about how extraordinary it is. This series explores some the things we know about the human body.

The human body is said to be on average about 60% water according to The Journal of Biological Chemistry 158. But Medical News Today goes a bit further and explains that the percentage of water in the body varies depending on age and sex from about the 45%-75% range. Seems strange that we are all essentially a big jug of water.

According the Big Think magazine, humans are the best long distance runners on the planet. We are not the fastest or the strongest but we are the best runners over a long distance.
